How do I ADD/CREATE a recipient to SEND CASH to?
- ANDROID APP – Select the SEND CASH tab and select the “ADD” button in the top right corner.
- IOS APP – Select “Recipients” on the home screen and then click on the add recipient icon in the top right corner. Select the nationality, pay-out method and pay-out partner. Complete the recipient’s details and click on “Save”.
- FREE USSD – Dial the *130*43556# and select the “Add Recipient” option from the menu.
- CALL CENTRE – Call the Hello Paisa Call Centre on 012-880-1800 and ask the consultant to assist you in creating a recipient.
What HAPPENS to the money if it does not get collected?
If funds are successfully sent to a BANK ACCOUNT/ CARD/ CELLPHONE WALLET no refund will be performed.
If funds are sent for Cash Pickup, and not collected within a stipulated period according to the Bank/Agent, the funds will be returned and credited to the customer’s account to be used for creating their next transaction.
Where can I SEE MY RECIPIENTS that I added/created?
- ANDROID APP: Click on the “Send Cash” icon at the bottom left of your screen and you will be able to see all added recipients.
- IOS APP: On the dashboard, click on “recipients” and you will be able to view all added recipients.
- USSD: Select the option “Send to other” and all recipients will be displayed.

How can I EDIT/CHANGE a recipient’s account detail?

What is the MINIMUM amount I can send?
The minimum limit per transaction ranges between R500 and R300 (excluding fees/charges), depending on the country money is sent to.
How do I DELETE a recipient?
- ANDROID APP – On the “SEND CASH” tab, select the recipient you would like to delete and click on the “Delete” button on the top left of the screen.
- IOS APP – Swipe right on recipient’s name that you would like to delete and click on the “delete” icon.
- FREE USSD – Select the option “Add/Delete Recipient”, select “Delete Recipient”, select the name of the recipient you would like to delete and then enter your pin number to confirm.

What is the MAXIMUM amount I can send ?
The maximum daily limit for a transaction is R3000 (excluding fees/charges) for FICA LIGHT customers and R5000 (excluding fees/charges) for FULL FICA customers.

What is my MONTHLY LIMIT?
The monthly allowance per customer that can be sent is R25, 000 per calendar month for FULL FICA customers, and R15, 000 per calendar month for FICA LIGHT customers.
How LONG does it take for the recipient to receive money?
Dependant on the country and partner, funds can be received immediately and in some instances, it can take up to 24 hours.
How long is a TRANSACTION VALID for?
You have up to 24hours to pay for a transaction. Thereafter, the transaction will expire.
What are the FEES/CHARGES for sending money?
Fees may vary according to the country and can be viewed when creating a transaction.
